Indian Lake Restoration Project
The first step to the Indian Lake Restoration project included the removal of carp from the lake. Indian Lake is a really turbid system and was dominated by algae, the removal of most of the carp population has already helped the plant community reestablish itself, but it needs help.

Step two of the restoration process is to improve the vegetation. The native plants augment the habitat not only for the fish, but also the wild life. Volunteers have planted pond lilies which creates good habitat for desirable game fish.
