The History of Committees to Save Lake Winona
For more than a century, Lake Winona has been the focus of human engineering — not the least of which has been to dig the muck out.
Dredging has been used several times to remove accumulated sediment and provide fill for development projects, most recently to fill 118 acres of lowland for commercial development.
