Fyrne Lake Farms Prepares Recycled Trees for Fish Habitat
Fyrne Lake Farms, a 2600-acre oasis of colorful trees, beautiful water, and abundant wildlife has posed its fair share of trials and tribulations to the owners, who have gone to great lengths to ensure the park’s preservation and integrity for enjoyment by not only themselves, but later generations as well.

Fish occupying the farm’s lake during his early years of ownership ranged in all size and types, including 10-lb. bass, 2-lb. bream, and an abundance of white crappie; however, time had taken its toll and the ever-growing fish population began posing major issues for local fisherman frequenting the lake.

In efforts to enhance the ecosystem, natural and manmade structures were added to the lake, including the addition of essential plant life, including the use of recycled Christmas trees, all of which have greatly enabled the lake’s ecosystem to maintain balance.
