Zebrafish Could be Key to Parkinson's Disease Treatment
Research led by Edinburgh University has found key brain cells that are damaged in people with the neurological condition could be regenerated.
Parkinson's disease happens when cells in the brain responsible for producing the chemical dopamine are destroyed.
Researchers found that in zebrafish, dopamine-producing nerve cells are constantly replaced by dedicated stem cells in the brain.

Christmas Lake Seeks Federal Approval to Use Potash
- Zebra mussels were discovered outside of the Zequanox treatment area and the lake's water temperature is now too low for the biological pesticide to be effective so the state Department of Natural Resources is seeking federal approval to use liquid potash, or potassium chloride on the lake this fall.
