Bait Shop Initiative Informs Customers about Aquatic Invasive Species
There are about a dozen different aquatic invaders in the Lake Winnebago System, compared to about 180 in Lake Michigan. He says anglers should inspect all equipment, remove any attached plants, drain all water from boats, and bait buckets, and never move plants or live fish away from a body of water. 

That is the focus of a program called the Bait Shop Initiative which distributes literature and brochures to area stores.  When customer are purchasing bait, the information is at the counter and they can learn about invasive species.
