An Amphibious Excavator is the Shoreline Management Solution
In 9-1/2 years a homeowner’s association in Virginia was able to remove 35,173 cubic yards of dredged spoils clear all of the coves of silt with an Aquarius Systems’ AE-12 Amphibious Excavator and a TB-12 Tender Barge.

This excavator features a barge mounted backhoe and working primarily from the water, it has a 22’ reach and can rotate 360 degrees infinitely.  While the tender barge hauled the dredged material to an offloading site where a dump truck with an attached grapple is used to remove the material to a specified dump site.

Bacteria found in Irrigation Water at Loskop Dam - Loskop Dam, Mpumalanga, was built in 1938 to supply irrigation water to the agricultural sector. Due to high levels of nutrients, the algae growth was up to 15m long and drifted down irrigation canals, clogging up control gates and crop sprayers.
