San Diego’s 23rd annual Operation Clean Sweep
Since 1990, Operation Clean Sweep has had at least one volunteer finds a truly notable object; including a telephone booth, baby stroller, a toilet and a dishwasher. To make the event a little more competitive, there is now an Unusual Trash Competition in which judges decide on the most unique item found in the depths of the bay.

A wash machine was pulled out of the bay this year, but it was a section of stadium seating that won the competition this year.
