Invasive Species: Do We Worry Too Much?
Do you think we spend too many resources trying to get rid of invasive species? If you look at the world today, we have messed it up. It is inevitable; we displace animals because we need to places to live and to grow food. If an alien species is doing well, we tend to blame that species rather than determining why it is so successful to begin with. We are less tolerant of alien species, including each other.

Before we do anything; work out the economics. What is it really going to cost and is it worth it. Or are we better off living with them. We can easily spend a lot of time and money and achieve no results.

The Scum isn’t Toxic - The Florida Department of Environmental Protection has confirmed that the surface scum floating in Sunshine Lake and the Sunrise Waterway does not have the potential to produce toxins. Similar tests conducted by the DEP revealed the blue-green algae, which is also growing in the lake, was nontoxic as well.
