Council Votes Unanimously Not to Spray Curly Leaf Pondweed
The city council voted unanimously not to spray Sauk Lake for curly leaf pondweed.
In 2007, the Sauk Lake Association treated a trip of pondweed in a southern bay about 150 feet wide to see how effective the chemical was.
Tim Weir, lake association member, said the results were disappointing. They didn’t see any difference between the treated area and the area that was not treated.
