Hydrologists Blame Toxin Used to Kill Fish for Parkinson's Diagnoses - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency had asked manufacturers to voluntarily cancel the use of rotenone as a pesticide in homes and for agriculture, where it had been used as an insecticide and piscicide (fish killer) since 1947. Rotenone’s safety for humans has, in fact, been called into question since the mid-’70s.
