Take a Stake in the Lakes
The Yahara chain of lakes is one of Madison Wisconsin’s most exquisite nature resources. The chain is made up of Mendota, Monona, Kegonsa, Waubesa, and Wingra.

Led by a renewed push from Dane County officials and ongoing collaboration with the Clean Lakes Alliance, this weekend launches a June 1 – 17 celebration of the Yahara chain. “Take a Stake in the Lakes” marks its 25th anniversary this year and has many planned events focused on clean-up and restoration.
